Am I [David] a loser if I go to a movie alone?

I don’t really understand why anyone would be considered a loser if they go to a movie by themselves. I’ve probably seen just as many movies by myself as I have with people. But then again, most people might consider me a loser.

If you go see a Star Trek movie, your loser-ness probably increases the more people who are with you.

It depends on what movie. If you go see G.I. Joe or something like that, no problem. If you go see a romantic comedy, or a disney movie…….I smell loser.

I went to see G.I. Joe today…by myself. Glad I passed the “Are you a loser?” test. Ironically, half the people in the theater (8 total) were alone.
