If you’ve watched any of the NBA playoffs, you’ve probably seen the Nike commercials featuring the puppet-likes of Kobe Bryant and LeBron James (see above). If you ask me, the commercials feature the worst impressions I’ve ever heard. Nonetheless, Kobe and LeBron are the 2 shining stars in the NBA. Since this question may be irrelevant tomorrow, I’ll ask it today…
If you were starting an NBA franchise, which player would you prefer to have on your team? Kobe Bryant or LeBron James?…or maybe even Dwight Howard?

LeBron. He makes his team better, assists, rebounds, defense, the whole package. Kobe is incredible, but is essentially a one-on-one player. Dwight Howard would be next on my list, then Kobe or Chris Paul.

I don’t know who I would take; both have their strengths, but judging by the playoffs this year kobe has been a little more impressive. Lebron just hasn’t been able to will his team to victory against the magic. All I do know is that this question is irrelevant once tyler hansbrough’s will makes it to the nba.

I have to go with LeBron for the same reasons Colin mentioned. He’s a team player. You’ll rarely see Kobe get a triple double. LeBron makes mediocre players look better. Kobe makes very good players mediocre. Imagine how great the Cavs could be if LeBron had Odom and Gasol on his team.

I’d take LeBron hands down. Watching the playoffs I haven’t seen a whole lot that’s shown Kobe as a stronger team player. Until this series playoffs have been a breeze for the Cavs and I do believe LeBron’s team play will give them a victory in the next 2 games.
