When I was a youngster, the choice for a video game system was rather easy. It was either Nintendo (NES) or nothing. The Atari was already outdated and nothing else was making a splash.
As time passed, the decisions got more difficult. Sega Genesis and SNES hit the platform world, and handheld units like Game Boy and Game Gear made a splash.
As technology evolved, we saw the introduction of the Playstation, Dreamcast (sure hope you didn’t buy one), and Nintendo 64.
Then came the Playstation 2, GameCube, and XBox, trumping all other systems.
Currently, we’ve taken another leap forward. The 3 hottest systems are the Playstation 3, XBox 360, and Nintendo Wii. All systems have online play available, the PS3 and 360 have HD capability and can play DVDs, and the PS3 can play Blu-Rays.
So after that little trip down memory lane, 2 questions:
1) What is your favorite gaming system of all time?
2) If you could purchase any gaming system right now regardless of money, what system would it be?

My favorite of all time would have to be the classic nes. I have a wii now and the good thing about it is that it lets me download old school nes games like super mario and mike tysons punchout.
If money was not an option, i would probably buy the ps3 because of the blu ray and high quality games. but for now, the wii is it.

1. My favorite system of all time is the first one I ever owned; a Sega Genesis. I can remember countless hours spent playing Prime Time Football, NFL 95, and NHL 94, the greatest sports game ever. Coach K college basketball was great too because UNC wasnt in the game.
2. As for which system I would take now, PS3 because thats what I have now and I love the HD and blu ray. Metal Gear is amazing as well and thats only for playstation, i think.
