Where Does Modesty Begin?

I heard a pastor tell a story about a sermon he preached on modesty. While he was preaching, a woman, dressed in an provocative leather tube top kept “amen”ing everything he said. Why? Because in that woman’s mind, she dressed modest, and immodesty began with women that dressed worse than her.

Modesty is obviously a major issue in our culture. My high school had to make a rule said a girl’s shirt had to cover her entire stomach. The outrage was amazing! Certain towns have tried to pass laws that outlaw sagging pants. The outrage over that has been amazing as well! Read more…

Wii, PS3, or Xbox 360???

When I was a youngster, the choice for a video game system was rather easy. It was either Nintendo (NES) or nothing. The Atari was already outdated and nothing else was making a splash.

Should Utah Be the National Champions?

If you’re a fan of college football, or just a sports fan for that matter, you know that college football has some “issues” it needs to deal with. Yes, the bowls are great (all 3,864 of them), but college football is still lacking in many areas. Let’s face it: college football will NEVER be able to determine an objective winner as well as college basketball and the 65 team tournament. Sometimes the champions are clear-cut, but college basketball still has the edge on “postseason” play,

Looking at this college football season, there is once again great controversy. In the National Championship game, you have 12-1 Oklahoma and 12-1 Florida. Are they the 2 best teams in college football? Up until last week I thought so. Now I’m not so sure! Read more…
