So it’s official–I’ve become a fitness junkie. If you looked at me, you probably wouldn’t think so. But it’s true–I’m addicted and obsessed.
For those who do not know, Summer 2004 I weighed in at about 260 lbs. It was probably more than that, but that’s the highest the scale ever said. That might be a little skewed because I think I starved myself and sat in a sauna for an hour before I weighed-in at the doctor that day.
Anyway, Summer 2007 my weight was 234. Even though I had lost quite a bit, I decided to go all out and see how much I could lose. Currently I am at 187 lbs. (Don’t worry…I did it through hard work and not through an eating disorder or cutting off a leg.)

Well, I’ve started to notice signs that I might be addicted to this whole fitness/workout/eating healthy thing. Read more…

So if you’ve been keeping track, I’m a little behind on my blog-a-day entries. Monday…well…I won’t say too much…but I’ll put it this way: Imagine you worked for Pizza Hut and someone called and ordered 13 pizzas to be delivered in 30 minutes. Well, at that exact moment, some of your pizza ingredients disappeared and the others were hit by a tornado and splattered all over the store. By the time you got everything back in order, you only have 5 minutes to make 13 pizzas AND have them delivered. Multiply that by 3 trillion….and that’s been my week! As for Tuesday, my blog decided to be a jerk and play Hide-and-Seek with my blog entries and pictures. Luckily, Dr. Keith Fletcher, IT Super Genius, was able to repair it back to health.
So, here I am, posting on Wednesday…about to lose my sanity from exhaustion! (Sidenote: Surprised By Joy is doing the music for E-TEAM the next 6 nights…I’m looking forward to it!)
I was talking to a friend yesterday about different bands and different concerts. The question came up, “What band would you like to see live in concert before you die (or they die or retire)?” Read more…

Well, yesterday I posted about the Top 30 Animated Films according to Yahoo users. I had some complaints with the list. Well today, AOL decided to come out with their own list of the Top 25 Animated Films (There is no confirmation that this is a response to Yahoo…but we can pretend it is!).
Anyway, I thought I would post this new list. I do agree with this one quite a bit more. I guess the people at AOL are smarter than the average Yahoo user. Anyway, here is the list:
25. The Simpsons Movie
24. Dumbo*
23. The Triplets of Belleville*
22. Lady and the Tramp
21. The Nightmare Before Christmas
20. The Jungle Book
19. Princess Mononoke
18. Pinocchio* Read more…

Well, it’s Day 2 of my attempt to write a new blog each day for the month of June. If you haven’t read my previous post about “ProStars,” check it out and leave me a comment, especially if you are a sports fan.
Today’s post involves something that is very controversial. I really want to get as many opinions as I can on this one. I am going to hold off on my personal opinions until a later time. If you know me well, you already know where I stand.
Anyway, I am curious to get some opinions and feedback on MMA. If you are out of the loop, MMA stands for Mixed Martial Arts, and it is growing in popularity in America. One of the patriarchs of MMA, the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship), is primarily behind the growing ratings and draw of MMA. Read more…

So I’ve decided to try to post a new blog every day. I’m not sure if I will post on Saturdays and Sundays, but you’ll have to check the site to find out. I find myself with so much random information in my head that 2 posts a week just won’t contain it all.
Anyway, the last couple of days I have been reminded of some great memories from my childhood. After I
got back from church on Sunday night, I turned on the TV to see “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze.” Classics!
Well, a friend of mine sent me an old Bo Jackson video yesterday and it got me thinking about an old Saturday morning cartoon called “ProStars.” For those of you who don’t remember the show and its 13-episode run back in 1991, the show was a cartoon featuring Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, and Bo Jackson. The trio acted as super-heroes, using their abilities to save the world from destruction (or air pollution, the demolishing of the rain forest, etc.) There were also several clips interspersed of the actual athletes reminding kids to be nice, brush their teeth, or something along those lines.
As a 6 1/2 year-old sports fan, those 13 episodes were incredible! As I thought about the show, I began to wonder, “What would ‘ProStars’ look like today?” Read more…
